“BEAT IT! – The Hit Show About the King of Pop!” is a spectacular live show experience celebrating the most successful entertainer of all time, whose music will never be forgotten. The approximately two-hour tribute traces Michael Jackson’s incomparable solo career through spectacular visuals, presenting 20 of his greatest hits live, including “Billie Jean,” “Smooth Criminal,” “Thriller,” “Man in the Mirror,” “Black or White,” and, of course, “Beat It.” The show is a perfectly choreographed stage spectacle featuring outstanding dancers, virtuoso musicians, and a lead performer who is so close to the original that it regularly takes the audience’s breath away.

“This is one of the best Michael Jackson shows I’ve ever seen,” raved Michael’s brother Jermaine Jackson immediately after the world premiere on August 29, 2018, at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. This was followed by record-breaking tours from 2018 to 2020 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, featuring more than 250 performances—most of them completely sold out—and a wave of boundless enthusiasm from audiences and the press, before the tour unfortunately had to be cut short in March 2020 due to the pandemic. Following its successful return to the stage in the spring of 2026—after a six-year hiatus—in 44 cities with 85,000 attendees, the legendary show will go on tour again in 2027 with a spectacular new version and a fresh cast.

More than 250,000 enthusiastic spectators, concert halls sold out row after row, and a seal of approval from his brother speak for themselves: Musical producer Oliver Forster’s hit show gave audiences goosebumps night after night, and not just die-hard Michael Jackson fans.

Lead actor Garth Field: A life dedicated to the arts
The South African was born in Cape Town in 1993 and is regarded worldwide as one of the best Michael Jackson impersonators. Renowned producer Johnny Van Grinsven took notice of Garth’s extraordinary talent and cast him in his successful production, The Michael Jackson History Show. “Garth possesses the rare combination of vocal talent, dancing ability, the perfect look, and above all, the drive and ambition to do justice to this role and to constantly work toward being the best in the business, just like his idol once was. I am therefore very proud that we were able to secure him as the lead in the role of Michael for the new edition of ‘BEAT IT!’,” said Oliver Forster, the show’s producer. The understudy is none other than Dantanio Goodmann, who was already on tour with “BEAT IT!” from 2018 to 2020 and was hailed worldwide at the time as “the best Michael Jackson impersonator since Michael Jackson.”
