Following the British hard rock legends’ announcement of their extensive 2026 tour plans, they have now revealed details of their new studio album, “SPLAT!”, set for release on July 3 via earMUSIC.
Once again, Deep Purple has teamed up with renowned producer Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Kiss). Together, they have created an album that builds on the sound and attitude that have always set Deep Purple apart from the rest.

For over five decades, Deep Purple has been one of the most defining and influential rock bands in music history. With classics like “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway Star,” they have had a decisive impact on hard rock—and in 2026, they will still be performing on the world’s biggest stages with undiminished energy.
With more than 120 million albums sold and countless sold-out arenas worldwide, the British band is one of the most enduring acts in rock history. Since their formation in 1968, Deep Purple has regularly released chart-topping albums and embarked on worldwide tours—without losing sight of their musical roots.
Their success has continued unabated into the new millennium: Over the past ten years, the band has sold over 2 million albums, and their last four studio albums—including their latest release, “=1” (2024)—reached No. 1 on the German album charts four times in a row. Across Europe, these releases topped the charts, cementing Deep Purple’s status as one of the most important rock bands of our time.
In parallel with the release of “=1,” the band launched a worldwide tour in 2024, which has pushed their ticket sales to over one million since 2022. With this, Deep Purple once again underscores its exceptional status as one of rock music’s most popular stadium and arena bands.
The current lineup—Ian Gillan (vocals), Roger Glover (bass), Ian Paice (drums), Don Airey (keyboards), and Simon McBride (guitar)—combines experience, virtuosity, and fresh energy. McBride, in particular, has been providing new creative momentum since 2023: “The Irish-born musician added a lot of energy to the band and was able to put his own spin on many of the well-known classics” (Creative Loafing Tampa Bay).
With their new album “SPLAT!” (Release Date: July 3, earMUSIC) and an extensive 2026 tour schedule featuring no fewer than 86 shows in 28 countries across three continents, Deep Purple shows no signs of slowing down.
