A declaration of love. The show of the century
Berlin, you cool city takes us through the last 100 years of this city's eventful history. “And Berlin was Sodom and Gomorrah,” wrote Bertolt Brecht in 1928 about what was then the third-largest metropolis in the world. Berlin has remained that way to this day—a sleepless refuge for countless restless souls in search of adventure.
A unique journey through time...
The journey through time begins in the Luna Park of the 1920s and ends in today's Berlin club Berghain. From swing to the Love Parade, from Marlene Dietrich to Seeed: Berlin, You Cool Bitch builds a musical bridge from the golden era to the sparkling present of this unique city... with charming travel companions. The story is experienced through the eyes of a Berlin toilet attendant: Adele – played by Berlin original Ades Zabel – recounts Berlin's legendary nightlife from the 1920s to the 2020s. She reports – always with her finger on the pulse and with Berlin snark – on the highs and lows of the metropolis, from the construction of the Wall to its fall, and on the trash and glamour of this special connection that makes Berlin so unique.
Finally on tour
After more than 60 acclaimed shows in Berlin and guest appearances at various festivals, Berlin, Du coole Sau is finally going on a major tour of Germany. The Capital Dance Orchestra, together with its wonderful singers Sharon Brauner (book & direction) and Meta Hüper (musical direction), presents a brilliant evening of music, wit, burlesque dance—and Ades Zabel. The long-overdue musical homage to a unique city. A must for all Berlin lovers!
