POP DIVAS

POP DIVAS

The soundtrack of your life

Four divas. One stage. All the hits.

In the new tribute show POP DIVAS, audiences experience a rousing homage to four of the greatest voices in pop history: Whitney Houston, Cher, Céline Dion and Adele. With impressive singers, an outstanding live band and a production that does justice to each of these icons, their greatest hits are celebrated.

Together, the four singers represent over half a century of music history: 28 Grammys, 24 number one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 and four Oscars speak for themselves. POP DIVAS combines these success stories into a unique concert experience. The show invites the audience on a moving musical journey through time.

Whitney Houston was one of the most successful singers of her time. She sold over 200 million records, won six Grammys and sang one of the greatest film songs of all time, ‘I Will Always Love You’. In POP DIVAS, her unforgettable songs will have everyone on their feet, in the spirit of ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’. She is portrayed by Patricia Meeden, who already impressed audiences with Whitney Houston's melodies in the musical Bodyguard.

The multi-award-winning ‘Goddess of Pop’ Cher has been shaping the music world since the 1960s. She is the only artist to have had number one hits in the US charts for seven consecutive decades. With her version of ‘If I Could Turn Back Time’, Cher impersonator Kerstin Löcker transports the audience back to the era of Cher's greatest successes.

Céline Dion made music history not only as the singer of the moving title song from ‘Titanic’. In addition to her hundreds of millions of record sales, her legendary Las Vegas residencies remain unforgettable. More than 4.5 million people attended her shows at Caesars Palace. Navina Heyne will thrill the audience with Céline Dion's great ballads as well as her uptempo numbers.

The programme is rounded off by musical highlights from Adele, whose successful album ‘21’ is the best-selling album of the 21st century with over 31 million copies sold. She last played in Munich in front of around 730,000 fans at her open-air concerts before announcing a longer break. At POP DIVAS, her emotional anthems are finally returning to the spotlight: Maria Kristina Nissen brings memories of past loves and heartbreak to life with songs like ‘Rolling in the Deep’.

In this extraordinary production, four outstanding singers are joined by a first-class live band, authentic costumes and detailed arrangements. Together, they bring the greatest moments in pop history to the stage – authentically, energetically and with great atmosphere. A special highlight: during the grand medley, all four performers come together for an impressive finale that captivates the audience.
