40 years after the hit album “Break Every Rule”: The celebrated tribute starring Coco Fletcher brings Tina Turner's star back to shine. In 1986, Tina Turner's album “Break Every Rule” was released by Capitol Records and quickly became a number one hit. The album sold over twelve million copies worldwide and, with a total of 14x platinum, 7x gold, and 1x silver, is one of the best-selling music albums of the 1980s. Her legendary performance during the subsequent tour in Rio de Janeiro in front of more than 180,000 spectators even earned her an entry in the Guinness Book of Records. Forty years later, “Simply The Best – The Tina Turner Story” pays tribute to the unique life's work of one of the most important artists in music history. Most recently, the successful production caused quite a stir in the wake of a long legal battle over the likeness of the lead actress and world's best Tina impersonator, Dorothea “Coco” Fletcher, and gained international prominence and recognition through the final court ruling.
The show has already thrilled hundreds of thousands of visitors and will once again be touring Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in 2026. It will also be returning to Dortmund's Westfalenhalle - Hall 2 on April 10, 2026. A highlight among musical biographies and a must-see for all Tina Turner fans who want to experience the eventful life of this exceptional artist and all her greatest hits up close and live once again: “Simply The Best – The Tina Turner Story” depicts the life of this exceptional artist with lots of live music and impressive scenes, taking the audience on a journey through five decades of music history.
